Thank you for expressing your interest for the 2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show Event Volunteer Team. Our Event Volunteers are one of the Show’s most valuable assets, and we truly appreciate your support. Our program exists to make the Sydney Royal Easter Show a safe and enjoyable experience for all Showgoers, and to provide you with the opportunity to engage, excite and educate.

Volunteer Interviews:
We are always so excited to welcome back so many familiar faces to the Sydney Royal Easter Show volunteer program, if you have volunteered with us in the last three (3) years you will not be required to undertake an interview.

All candidates who are new to our program should expect a call from our team to discuss your involvement. Don't be shy, it will take a few minutes, which is a chance for us to get to know each other and tell you more about the program. All interviews for NEW volunteers will take place throughout February and early March 2022.

Volunteer Inductions:
Sydney Royal Easter Show will be hosting online inductions for both new and returning volunteers. If you are indicated as successful, all volunteers will be required to complete the mandatory e-induction, and/or training modules before you will be able to confirm any of your shifts.

Uniform Collection:
All volunteers will be required to come into the Showground to collect their uniform, prior to the Show. More details about uniform requirements can be found in the position outline. Successful volunteers will receive further information about uniform collection in the coming weeks.

COVID-19 Message:
The health and safety of all patrons, exhibitors, staff, competitors and volunteers is our number one priority. We will continue to work with NSW Health to ensure that we have all the measures in place to put on a safe event that everyone can enjoy.

The NSW Government has rules in place for all individuals and businesses operating within NSW in relation to COVID-19 including at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Please ensure you have read and understood the rules that can be found by clicking here, and how they apply to you. These rules are regularly updated and we recommend you re-visit them in the lead-up to your attendance at the event in case of any changes.

RAS Staff and Volunteers do not need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

It is critical to note that should you display any COVID-19 symptoms or test positive you should not attend the venue until a negative result has been received.

Eligibility and WWCC:
To be eligible to volunteer at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, you must be a minimum of 16 years of age.

If you are 18 years or older it is a requirement that you have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). The WWCC is free for volunteers and is valid for five years.
